There are a lot of ideas that never make it to the stage. For every ten ideas we maybe use one... maybe. Sometimes, even if they suck, we have a hard time letting go of a bit because it made us laugh in the moment. This is one such bit we came up with in the car YEARS ago. We were discussing the mystery behind an epic ninja and all the stories to be told about him. If you watched SNL in the latter 90s you might see a resemblance to the Bill Brasky sketch. He’s a 690 year old ninja He trained for …
College Tour
We obviously don't use this very much.
BUT we do have news. We recently signed with Degy Entertainment, which means beginning this fall we will be embarking on mini epic journeys across the land to spread the gospel of Daka to our nation's youth. Yes, Dakaboom Goes Back To College. If you or someone you know knows what college is and happens to attend one, have them contact our main man Ari (ari@degy.com). Of course this isn't limited to colleges, but we're told they serve us food. We're both enjoying our summer hiatus, working on various projects in various countries, but come September, it's back to work! Spring??
Wow, okay. So it's spring now. The days are longer but it doesn't feel like we have any more time to fit in all we have going on. The EPK shoot was amazing! Within April we expect to be done with the project and ready to unleash it on the world at large, one Starbucks meeting at a time. If you're not in LA, you likely …
Reviewing the situation
We just returned from our east coast tour. It went well. Really well. In Maryland, we performed for a room full of scientists with the former head of the CIA in the front row laughing his butt off. In DC, we brought a crowd that surprised even the venue itself and sold our first copies of our debut album. In NYC, we packed the house, impressed the owner and met our first NY reviewer. Then we drank a lot with friends. We're back in LA and already moving on new ideas and proejcts. Whilst in the Big Apple, …
East Coast Tour
We're heading out on our first east coast tour this week. We have gigs in Maryland, DC and NYC, where we will be celebrating the release of our debut album 'Get Awesome'. If you're in the area, or know people who are, let's spread the word so we can land with a big splash. We love visiting the other end of the country and hope to be invited back. Check our Gigs page for more info and we'll see you there!
